Linksys Atlas Max 6E Review
The Linksys Atlas Max 6E has the distinction of being the first three-piece mesh Wi-Fi system we’ve tested that uses Wi-Fi 6E technology to operate on the 6GHz radio band. At $1,199.99, it’s also the most expensive mesh system we’ve come across. It delivered solid 6GHz throughput performance in testing and offers lots of I/O ports and multi-gig WAN, but unless you’re a die-hard early adopter, you’re better off waiting for more reasonably priced competing systems to hit the shelves, especially if you don’t have any devices that can connect to the 6GHz band. If that’s the case, check out our Editors’ Choice winner for Wi-Fi 6 mesh systems, the $449.99 Asus ZenWiFi AX XT8. It doesn’t offer 6GHz connectivity, but it’s a strong performer and is significantly more affordable than the Atlas system.
What’s in the Atlas Max 6E?
As we mentioned above, the first thing you’ll notice about the Atlas system is its large, square-shaped device. This is definitely a feature we’re most enthusiastic about — it allows the user to add up to 10 additional devices at once, making it a logical choice for home use. The system comes with two ethernet adapters (for a total of four) and two USB devices, along with complete documentation that explains how the device works and what each button does. It’s easy to set up, and once it’s up and running, you can connect up to six devices at a time.
5-Layer Mesh System
For the most part, you won’t be able to connect any more devices than five at a time. This is because the system uses five layers of mesh for its WAN fabric, meaning you won’t be able to connect devices above the minimum of four. This helps keep expenses down since it doesn’t involve expensive fiber optic cable or even a big turn-key production line. As a result, you can get the system for much less than you’d expect for this type of WAN fabric.
6GHz band
Like the 5-Layer system, the 6GHz system on the Atlas Max 6E also uses the WAN fabric to connect up to six devices. However, this system offers better performance in 6GHz transmission and is therefore only as good as the system’s maximum transmission power. While not as expensive or elaborate as the 5-Layer system, it’s definitely not as flexible — you won’t be able to add devices above the minimum level necessary to operate the system.
I/O Ports
As you’re probably well aware by now, the 6GHz system on the Atlas max 6E has plenty of I/O ports. From USB 3.0/2.0 hosts to dongles for remote access and sensors, there’s support for it. The one drawback with the system is that you won’t be able to connect your computer to the 6GHz network, as the interfaces are all hidden in the large, square-shaped device.

Installation and Performance
We had a chance to get a firsthand look at the installation process for the Linksys Atlas Max 6E at a recent event hearkening back to 2006. In that year, the system was released as the Linksys X10 and was sent to us with a 1st generation modem. As you can see for yourself, the implementation of the system was incredible — we were able to connect all our devices in less than 15 seconds, with the exception of the remote access device, which took a much longer time. – We were able to connect all our devices in less than 15 seconds, with the exception of the remote access device, which took a much longer time. – The setup process is incredibly easy, as the user just needs to connect the device and power it on. Once it’s online, the rest is easy.
Mesh Wi-Fi
As we mentioned above, the system supports the 5-Layer and 6GHz WAN fabrics, which we prefer because they provide better performance in transmission and more flexibility for adding more devices in the house. The 6GHz network also supports more devices, which leads to more throughput for the overall system. – The system supports the 5-Layer and 6GHz WAN fabrics, which we prefer because they provide better performance in transmission and more flexibility for adding more devices in the house. This will help you stay connected and connected to your friends and family members without ever having to slap the button on the GPS device.
Updates
– 11/21/2017: The system was updated to v5.2.2 with new features and functionality. – 7/12/2017: The system was updated to v5.2.1 with new features and functionality. – 5/9/2017: The system was updated to v5.1.1 with new features and functionality. – 4/21/2017: The system was updated to v5.0.2 with new features and functionality.
Conclusion
The Linksys Atlas Max 6E is a solid system that provides good performance and services for a reasonable price. It’s one of the most popular 3-piece mesh systems on the market and is easy to set up with professional support. If you’re looking for a basic system that can handle basic tasks, this is a great choice. However, if you’d like to go beyond that and want something more complex, the Linksys Pro series of devices are a great alternative. However, if you’d like to go beyond that and want something more complex, the Linksys Pro series of devices are a great alternative. They’re not designed to be a general-purpose system, but rather a specialized system that’s tailored to a specific market. You won’t be able to get the same performance or flexibility that you would get from a general-purpose system, but that’s neither why you should buy this system in the first place.
